Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe Makes: about 24 cookies

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 9-12 minutes

Total Time: 19-22 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup butter; cubed and cold

1 cup brown sugar

½ cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

3 cup flour

3 ½ tbsp corn starch

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp salt

2 ½ cup chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer combine the cubed butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Beat together until well incorporated.
  3. Then add in 1 egg at a time. Once eggs are mixed in, add in vanilla extract.
  4. Sift all dry ingredients together and then add them to the dough. Fold until just combined. Then fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Use an ice cream scoop to scoop out the dough. Place 1″ apart from each other. Bake at 400 F for 9-12 minutes. To check if the center is done, place a toothpick into the center. If it comes out clean the cookies are done. Let cool. Enjoy!
