Puff Pastry Pear Tart

Recipe Makes: 8 pastries

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20-25 minutes

Total Time: 30-35 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

1 egg

4 pears

Coarse sugar

1 lb puff pastry dough

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350f.
  2. On a well floured surface unfold the puff pastry dough.
  3. Cut it into 8 even rectangles. Make 1 inch slices at 2 corners across from each other, (look at the picture in step by step instructions) take the corners and bring them to the opposite sides.
  4. Cut the pears in half and then thinly slice each half. Place the halves on each dough rectangle.
  5. Beat the egg in a bowl to make the egg wash, and brush each pastry with it. Then sprinkle on the coarse, how much you use it up to you.
  6. Bake at 325f for 20-25 minutes or until the pastry starts to become golden brown.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool. Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
