Recipe Makes: 4 servings

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 40 minutes

Total Time: 60 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

½ lb ground beef

½ lb ground pork

1-2 garlic cloves

1 medium onion

¾ cup bread crumbs

1 egg

¼ cup water

salt & pepper to taste

corn oil

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl mix together the pork and beef. Add salt and pepper (I use around 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper).
  2. In a blender puree onion, garlic, egg, water, and bread crumbs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Add the onion mix to the ground meat. Mix it in well to completely combine.
  4. Add the corn oil to a deep pan and set to medium heat. Use just enough oil so the bottom is completely coated (you might need to add more as you are cooking).
  5. While the oil is heating up, shape the patties into circle/oval shaped. Once the oil it hot, carefully place the patties on. Fry them until they are golden brown and then flip.
  6. Place all of the cooked patties into a oven safe dish and pour in 3 tbsp of water into the dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes, to be sure that the patties are fully cooked though. Enjoy!
