Recipe Makes: 4 servings
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 60 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
½ lb ground beef
½ lb ground pork
1-2 garlic cloves
1 medium onion
¾ cup bread crumbs
1 egg
¼ cup water
salt & pepper to taste
corn oil
DIRECTIONS:
- In a large bowl mix together the pork and beef. Add salt and pepper (I use around 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper).
- In a blender puree onion, garlic, egg, water, and bread crumbs. Mix until well combined.
- Add the onion mix to the ground meat. Mix it in well to completely combine.
- Add the corn oil to a deep pan and set to medium heat. Use just enough oil so the bottom is completely coated (you might need to add more as you are cooking).
- While the oil is heating up, shape the patties into circle/oval shaped. Once the oil it hot, carefully place the patties on. Fry them until they are golden brown and then flip.
- Place all of the cooked patties into a oven safe dish and pour in 3 tbsp of water into the dish. Cover with foil and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes, to be sure that the patties are fully cooked though. Enjoy!
