S’mores Rice Krispie Treats

Recipe Makes: around 15 servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Total Time: 20 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

6 tbsp unsalted butter

1 10z bag of mini marshmallows (save 1 cup to stir in)

1 tsp vanilla extract

6 cups rice krispie cereal

1 ½ cup chocolate chips (save ¼ cup to sprinkle on top)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Place a large pot on medium heat and add in the unsalted butter. Add in the marshmallows once the butter has fully melted and turn the heat down to low.
  2. Keep stirring the marshmallows until they are completely dissolved and creamy. Next stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Take the pot off heat and fold in the cereal. Add the marshmallows and chocolate chips once the cereal in mixed in. Stir them in well.
  4. Transfer the rice krispies into a dish. Scatter the reserved marshmallows and chocolate chips on top, then press them into the bar.
  5. Let the rice krispies chill for 10 minutes in the fridge. Then take it out and cut it into squares. Slightly torch the marshmallows on top so they get toasty. Let cool slightly and enjoy!

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
