Recipe Makes: 6 servings

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: around 1 hr

Total Time: 1 hr 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

6 large apples, I used gala apples

1 egg

1 cup cottage cheese

¾ cup flour

3-4 tbsp sugar; add more if you want the apples to be sweeter

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Start off by preheating the oven to 350 F.
  2. Prep the apples by washing and drying them. Then take a small knife and start to core out the center. Once you were able to core out a little bit, grab a spoon the scoop the seeds out. Place the apples into the baking dish.
  3. Then grab a bowl and mix together the egg, cottage cheese, flour, and sugar. The mixture should be thick.
  4. Scoop the cottage cheese mix into the apples, the filling should fill the apples to the top. But not over, because the filling will rise as it is baking.
  5. Bake the apples for 1 hr or until the cheese becomes golden brown. Let the apples cool slightly and enjoy!
