Recipe Makes: 4-6 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb mushrooms
1 medium onion
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 ½ cup heavy cream
white cheddar cheese to sprinkle on top
DIRECTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 400 F. Start off by slicing up the mushrooms and onion. How ever small you slice them up is up to you (I like to slice them so they are on the thicker side).
- Heat up a deep skillet on medium heat and melt the butter. Once the butter is melted add in mushrooms and onions. Sauté until they start to become golden brown and the mushrooms have let out their juices.
- Then stir in flour and keep stirring until the vegetables are evenly coated. Next you are going to add in the heavy cream. And cook until the mixture thickens. Once the mixture is thick turn off the heat (you will know it’s thick once you dip a spoon in and it doesn’t drip off right away).
- Scoop the mixture into ramekins and sprinkle with cheese. Bake uncovered at 400 F for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and starts to brown up on top. Enjoy!
