Recipe Makes: 4-6 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb beef
1 ½ tbsp olive oil
1 small onion
1 medium/large broccoli head
3-4 garlic cloves; crushed
½ cup water; hot
5 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp light brown sugar; packed
1 tbsp corn starch
¼ tsp black pepper
sesame seeds for garnish
DIRECTIONS:
- In a small ramekin combine garlic cloves, water, soy sauce, light brown sugar, corn starch, and black pepper. Mix until well combined and set aside. (NOTE: the sauce might start to separate a little if it sits for awhile, just mix it again before adding it to the pan.)
- Pour olive oil into a deep skillet and turn on to medium heat. Once oil is hot add in beef, sauté for about 10 minutes or it starts to brown up. Then add in the vegetables and sauté until the onions soften.
- Add in the sauce you made easier and cook until it starts to thicken. Once thickened turn off stove and and off from heat.
- Sprinkle on some sesame seeds. Enjoy!
