Chocolate Ganache

Advertisements

Recipe Makes: about 1 ½ cup

Prep Time: 8 minutes

Cook Time: 2 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

8 oz chocolate bars

1 cup heavy cream

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Heat up the heavy cream in a microwave safe bowl for about 2 minutes.
  2. Once the heavy cream is hot add in your chocolate. I like to use a mini spatula to fold the chocolate in. Piece by piece. Fully incorporate the chocolate before adding more. If the chocolate isn’t melting anymore, pop it back into the microwave for 10 seconds at a time. Make sure you mix well in between heating so the chocolate doesn’t burn.
  3. Ganache is ready to use once all the chocolate is melted. You can either drizzle it or wait until it cools and thickens. Then you can place the ganache into a piping bag and pipe as is. Or you can use a stand or hand mixer to whip it up until its light and fluffy.
