The Perfect 1st Birthday

Advertisements

We recently celebrated our son’s birthday! We threw Jamie a Tropical/Hawaiian theme party. His actual birthday was on September 9th. But we had the party the following Saturday, the 12th. My parents were kind enough to let us throw the party at their house. We ended up renting a huge tent and a bunch of tables, chairs, and tablecloth. And since party was outside, we were worrying about the weather and had everyone praying for good weather on Saturday. And thankfully weather was perfect! It was warm during the day and then started to get chilly in the evening. Which was fine because we had a fire pit and were handing out blankets. Since the whole Covid situation we have not seen some of our friends in a while. So, the party ended up being pretty large, since all our family and close friends came to celebrate with us.

And yes I know I’m posting this a little late.. we have been busy these last few weeks with me going back to college, my husband working (fall becoming very busy for him), and of course Jamie is becoming very adventurous guy that needs to be watched 24/7!

Turned out so adorable and just though I would share it with you in case you would be looking for party decoration inspiration or menu inspiration. You can find the party shop page HERE.

(once I add more of these recipes to my blog, I will link them in this post)

DECORATIONS

We wanted the party to be simple decoration wise, nothing over board. We hung string lights from the celling on the tent and then hung up paper lanterns and fans. We decorated the tables palm leaves in the center and then a pineapple (which was a perfect take home gift) in the center, which a few Hawaiian flowers thrown around. And one of my favorite parts was our cooler. We used a baby pool and filled with ice and beverages. It was so adorable and practical. It was a very simple party, andlooked amazing!
