Sugar Cookies

Recipe Makes: 25-30 cookies

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 7-10 minutes

Total Time: 22-25 minutes

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup unsalted butter; softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

1 tbsp vanilla extract

1 tsp salt

2 tsp baking powder

3 cups flour

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat butter and sugar together.  Then add in egg and vanilla extract
  3. Mix until combined, then add in salt and baking powder.  Mix until combine.  Add in flour 1 cup at a time, fully mix in between adding the next cup.
  4. Roll the dough out on a well-floured surface until it’s 1/8 inch thick.  Use a cookie cutter (or mason jar lid) and cut out the dough. 
  5. Carefully place the cookies on to a baking sheet.  Bake them at 350 F for 7-10 minutes or until they start to get a little golden brown.  But be careful to not burn.  Enjoy!

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
