Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Recipe Makes: 1 loaf

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 50-55 minutes

Total Time: around 1 hr

INGREDIENTS:

3 medium bananas

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup butter (1 stick); melted

1 tsp baking soda

½ cup sugar

½ tsp salt

1 ½ cup flour

1 cup chocolate (I used a hazelnut chocolate bar)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In the bowl of a stand mixer, mash the bananas using a flat beater. Once mashed add in eggs and vanilla, beat until well combined.
  2. Melt butter and add it to the bowl. Mix everything until combined. Then add in baking soda, sugar, and salt. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. If you are using a chocolate bar (like I did), this is when you would want to chop it up into little chunks. Add in flour and chocolate little by little (not all at once).
  4. Once banana bread is mixed, pour it into a greased up bread pan.
  5. Bake at 350 F for 50-55 minutes. Or once top is golden and you stick a toothpick into the center and it comes out clean. Enjoy!
