Recipe Makes: 4 cups
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
INGREDIENTS:
8 plums
½ cup sugar*
DIRECTIONS:
- Wash, pit, and slice the plum into 6 slices. Add plums and sugar to your Instant Pot, and turn it on to saute mode. Saute for about 7 minutes, or until plums start to get soft and release their juices.
- Put the lid on the Instant Pot to sealing mode, and pressure cook for 3 minutes (takes about 10 minutes to warm up). Then do a quick release after 5 minutes. Saute for another 5 minutes, so the jam could thicken up. Stir constantly so the jam doesn’t start to burn.
- Use a potato masher, or whisk to break up the plums into small pieces.
- Let cool before transferring because jam will be hot. Enjoy!
*If you like your jam on the sweeter side add more sugar. I found that ½ a cup was perfect for me. Not too sweet since the plums were sweet themselves.
